Volunteers

Team on-site in Peru To help accomplish our aims and objectives, Heritage Without Borders needs skilled, open-minded, highly-motivated volunteers.  We need people with skills in the heritage industry including:  conservation, collections management, documentation, cataloguing and digitization, interpretation, outreach, education, security, site and building management, and audience development and marketing.

There are opportunities to volunteer for HWB in the UK and abroad.  See vacancies for UK-based and international volunteer opportunities.

If you have recently completed your post-graduate studies and are just starting your career you may be eligible to apply to work on one of our international projects or help support our activities in the UK.  HWB also needs experienced heritage professionals who are looking for opportunities to use their skills in new contexts.

What HWB can do for international volunteers:

  • provide full project briefing and pre-departure preparation and training;
  • pay for flights, accommodation, visas and in-country travel;
  • ensure there is suitable accommodation, work space and supplies;
  • support and advice for volunteers onsite; and
  • provide excellent professional development opportunities and a range of transferable skills.
